WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik)

The firm most commonly known as WMF began operations in 1853 in Baden-Wurttemberg (modern southern Germany), becoming most famous for its leading edge Art Nouveau Jungendstil productions. It produced tablewares made of metals and glass, becoming by 1900 the world's largest producer of metal tablewares, according to Wikipedia. It still operates today, including a tablewares division.
