Ford Motor Company

Founded by Henry Ford in 1903, Ford continues in business today with a storied history of many ups and downs. The company made car ownership affordable to middle Americans through assembly line economies of scale which lowered the cost, and hence price, of its automobiles. The Ford family still holds an influential stake in the company.
