The print number 41 is from Yōshū Chikanobu (1838 - 1912) series Snow, Moon, Flowers published between 1884 - 1886 as a series of 50 prints. This particular scene shows Yokichi coming to a brothel trying to learn more about the suicide of his sister who was sold into prostitution. The scene above shows Onogawa Kisaburo fighting Yokichi's sister's cat who has come back for revenge over her death.

Framed in gold brass frame and dark green or black matting.
