Coalport

Coalport is a British name and brand of fine porcelains and has been a mainstay of English porcelains since its inception in 1795. Apocryphal legends place the date of foundation to 1750 but it is mythical more than factual. The company became known for it high quality dinner services in the early to mid 19th C. The original firm was taken over in 1925 Cauldon Potteries, and since has existed only as a brand. In 1967 the brand was sold to Wedgwood Group.
