An antique Wavecrest porcelain dresser box pair decorated with delicate violets and stems on creamy and rose tinted grounds, sitting atop an elegant gilt metal Rococo stand with detailed paw feet. Each box retains its liner. This larger size with brass stand is very desireable not only for its beauty but also for its rarity. The box dates to c. 1900 and made by C. F. Monroe.
Although there are minor differences between the boxes, one would expect these variances with hand decorated and blown items.
